THE GESTURE
Chic and timeless, the Altaï stands apart for its signature weave, shaped in our Paris atelier. More than two metres of cord go into the braiding — a technique Amandine learned in the Amazon. It takes close to eight hours of handwork to bring the Altaï bag to life.
Its play of leathers brings light, suppleness and character to a comfortable silhouette, easy to carry every day. An everyday essential, to be worn without moderation.

Every piece is assembled in our atelier at 6 Rue Labie, in the 17th arrondissement. Cutting, splitting, setting, hand stitching, edge burnishing — everything is done by hand, here.
No subcontracting, no imports: a Parisian house working European vegetable-tanned leather, in small batches, with no subcontracting and nothing imported.

Altaï..que dire de toi...à part que tu es mon coup de coeur absolu. J'aime tout de toi; ton format, ta couleur, ton laçage, ta conception intérieure, ta bandoulière bien large qui ne scie pas les épaules que je te porte à l'épaule ou en cross body,la qualité de ton cuir. Pour l'amatrice de cuir que je suis, je suis aux anges et ravie d'avoir un sac qu'on ne trouve pas à tous les coins de rue
Je suis restée bloquée devant l'Altaï noir en boutique pendant dix minutes à regarder le tressage. Chaque bande passe sous et sur les autres, tout est fait à la main, et à la lumière rasante ça dessine un relief magnifique. Le cordon de serrage plus la fermeture magnétique c'est très sûr. Un sac qu'on garde à vie.
La formule sur le site n'est pas un slogan creux, le sac est vraiment souple. Il se déforme un peu quand on le pose puis il reprend sa forme. Le format 21 x 22 x 16 est plus grand qu'il n'en a l'air, j'y mets un petit ordinateur.
Mon premier sac Suki et sûrement pas le dernier. Le vert forêt est somptueux et le tressage main est un travail de dingue. Livraison rapide, emballage impeccable.
410 euros c'est un vrai budget, je l'assume complètement, quand on voit le temps de tressage on comprend. Je mets 4 étoiles parce que la fermeture magnétique plus le cordon c'est très sûr, mais pas très rapide quand on est pressé à la caisse.
Le contraste entre le cuir foulonné et le cuir poncé est très réussi, on a deux matières qui se répondent, et la poche plaquée est bien placée. Mon bémol : entre le cordon et l'aimant, le sac baille un peu quand il est bien rempli. Sur un sac à 410 euros je pensais avoir une fermeture plus franche.

We work with full-grain vegetable-tanned cowhide, sourced from European tanneries committed to responsible practices. This leather develops a unique patina that grows more beautiful with time and use.
Day to day, wipe with a soft, dry cloth and store the piece in its cotton pouch, away from sunlight. To nourish the leather, apply a colourless nourishing milk (silicone-free) in a thin layer: once a month for daily use, once a season for occasional use. Avoid direct heat and household cleaners; if the piece gets caught in the rain, let it air-dry, then nourish it.
In-stock pieces ship within 48 to 72 business hours. Delivery is free within mainland France from €100, and to Japan from ¥40,000. For a personalised piece (engraving, marking), allow 7 to 10 additional days for production.
Yes, you have 14 days from receipt to return a non-personalised piece in its original condition. Exchanges and refunds are processed within 7 business days of the parcel arriving back at our atelier.
Yes. We carry out hot-stamping (gold, silver or natural) on most of our pieces, up to 8 characters. Personalisation costs 30 € and adds 7 to 10 days to the production time.
