Suki Paris Designer leather goods, handmade in Paris
SEE THE BAGS →6 rue Labie · Paris 17e
Each piece is born in Paris, in the hands of someone who knows leather.
Suki Paris designs and hand-sews its leather bags for women at 6 rue Labie, in the 17th arrondissement of Paris. Amandine Simon cuts and stitches every piece herself in a full-grain, vegetable-tanned cowhide leather sourced in Italy, completed with upcycled leather on select pieces. No subcontracting, no offshore workshop: the leather bucket bag Altaï, hand-braided on rue Labie, and the leather belt bags Ulysse and Pandora, worn crossbody at the shoulder, both come out of that same room in the 17th.
Small leather goods follow the same rule. The leather wallets for women Achille, Belize, Naxos and Freyja share one zipped format and a gold Excella YKK closure; the leather card holders Wind, Kiss, Amour and Sweety hold two to three cards and a folded note in a thinner leather. For evenings out as much as for travel, the leather passport pouch (Dream, Bisou, Sévilla, Nikiti) closes its leather flap over the essentials; the leather keyrings, shaped as a heart or a cloud, come in about ten colours from €35. Every piece can be hot-stamped with initials or a date before it ships, and shipping is free in mainland France from €100.
There is something quietly addictive about a piece you watched come to life in hands you know — the leather deepens, the colour settles, and the object becomes a little more yours with every use. Rue Labie, the workshop stays open to anyone who wants to see the gesture: French-made leather goods, here, made in plain sight, a short walk from the Place des Ternes.
