The Rainbow is the leather keyring made from the workshop's offcuts at rue Labie — the fragments left over once the larger pieces have been cut, too small for a bag but well suited to a keyring. The combination of shades depends on whatever offcuts are to hand that day: no two Rainbows are alike. Same construction as the other Suki keyrings: motifs sheathed and hand-stitched, crimped metallic ring, edges painted, full-grain vegetable-tanned cowhide. The difference: the colour composition is dictated by the workshop, not chosen from a catalogue. It is the most honest object in the range — it says exactly what it is and where it comes from. Available subject to offcuts in stock. Never produced in any quantity.

THE GESTURE
The four hearts on the Rainbow do not come from leather bought for them: they are cut from the off-cuts of earlier runs, what remains once the bags have been cut. Each heart is set into the thickness of the rectangle then topstitched around its edge — it sits flush with the surface rather than on top of it, and cannot peel away.
That is what makes every Rainbow different: the palette depends on what is left in the workshop. Metal ring, edges dyed tone on tone, 6.5 × 4.5 cm. Made on rue Labie, Paris 17.

Every piece is assembled in our atelier at 6 Rue Labie, in the 17th arrondissement. Cutting, splitting, setting, hand stitching, edge burnishing — everything is done by hand, here.
No subcontracting, no imports: a Parisian house working European vegetable-tanned leather, in small batches, with no subcontracting and nothing imported.

J'adore le principe : le Rainbow est fait avec les chutes de l'atelier, donc les 4 coeurs n'ont jamais tout à fait les mêmes couleurs d'un exemplaire à l'autre. Le mien a un coeur jaune moutarde que je n'ai vu nulle part ailleurs. Zéro gaspillage et un objet unique, j'applaudis.

Le plus beau porte-clés que j'ai jamais eu. Et à 40 euros pour du fait main à Paris avec des chutes récupérées, franchement on ne peut rien reprocher.
Acheté pour ma nièce de 12 ans qui adore les couleurs, elle ne le quitte plus. Solide malgré les allers retours au collège. Comme c'est fait avec des chutes on ne choisit pas les couleurs : on a eu de la chance, mais c'est un peu la loterie.
J'aime beaucoup l'idée d'utiliser les chutes plutôt que de les jeter. Et le résultat n'a rien d'un sous-produit, c'est aussi bien fini que le reste de la gamme. Les bords sont teintés ton sur ton comme sur les autres modèles.
Petite pièce mais grand plaisir. Je recommande vivement cette maison.

The Rainbow is entirely handmade in our Parisian atelier, at 6 rue Labie in the 17th arrondissement. From cutting to hand stitching, every step takes place in Paris.
We work with full-grain vegetable-tanned cowhide, sourced from European tanneries committed to responsible practices. This leather develops a unique patina that grows more beautiful with time and use.
Day to day, wipe with a soft, dry cloth and store the piece in its cotton pouch, away from sunlight. To nourish the leather, apply a colourless nourishing milk (silicone-free) in a thin layer: once a month for daily use, once a season for occasional use. Avoid direct heat and household cleaners; if the piece gets caught in the rain, let it air-dry, then nourish it.
No. Unlike a print or an appliqué, our motifs are inlaid into the thickness of the leather. They are an integral part of the piece and do not fade with use. Only the patina will deepen their relief over time.
In-stock pieces ship within 48 to 72 business hours. Delivery is free within mainland France from €100, and to Japan from ¥40,000. For a personalised piece (engraving, marking), allow 7 to 10 additional days for production.
Yes, you have 14 days from receipt to return a non-personalised piece in its original condition. Exchanges and refunds are processed within 7 business days of the parcel arriving back at our atelier.
Yes. We carry out hot-stamping (gold, silver or natural) on most of our pieces, up to 8 characters. Personalisation costs 30 € and adds 7 to 10 days to the production time.
