Bisou
95 €
Vegetable-tanned leather has something patient about it: it took its time to be made, it will take its time to age. La Bisou carries that philosophy — a vegetable-tanned leather passport pouch hand-stitched at the workshop on rue Labie, whose initial light havana shade can deepen towards dark cognac after a few years of heavy use. This uncoated leather — no protective film applied at the tannery — is alive and responsive. The bound, top-stitched motifs run across the surface like saddler's embroidery. They take on the same patina as the body, at a slightly different pace depending on thickness. Leather-bound press stud. Water-repellent nylon canvas lining. 25.5 × 11 cm. Personalisable with gold or silver foil marking. For those who know that beautiful things improve with time.

THE GESTURE
The sheathed press stud, sealed like a letter.
On the Bisou, as on every Suki passport pouch, the press stud is sheathed in a half-moon of hand-stitched leather — protecting the mechanism and unifying the colour. The Bisou's uncoated vegetable-tanned leather takes this sheathing in the same hide as the body: in time, the two patinate together.
The piece is cut, folded, wax-glued and saddle-stitched before assembly. Forty minutes of additional work per pouch. Made at the workshop on rue Labie, Paris 17th.

ATELIER, PARIS 17TH
Crafted by hand,
on Rue Labie.
Every piece is assembled in our atelier at 6 Rue Labie, in the 17th arrondissement. Cutting, splitting, setting, saddle stitching, edge burnishing — everything is done by hand, here.
No subcontracting, no imports: a Parisian house working European vegetable-tanned leather, in respect of techniques learned from great saddlers.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Everything about the Bisou.
Where is the Bisou made?+
The Bisou is entirely handmade in our Parisian atelier, at 6 rue Labie in the 17th arrondissement. From cutting to saddle stitching, every step takes place in Paris.
What leather do you use?+
We work exclusively with full-grain vegetable-tanned cowhide, sourced from European tanneries committed to responsible practices. This leather develops a unique patina that grows more beautiful with time and use.
How do I care for my Suki Paris leather piece?+
Day to day, wipe with a soft, dry cloth and store the piece in its cotton pouch, away from sunlight. To nourish the leather, apply a colourless nourishing milk (silicone-free) in a thin layer: once a month for daily use, once a season for occasional use. Avoid direct heat and household cleaners; if the piece gets caught in the rain, let it air-dry, then nourish it.
Can the inlaid motifs wear off?+
No. Unlike a print or an appliqué, our motifs are inlaid into the thickness of the leather. They are an integral part of the piece and do not fade with use. Only the patina will deepen their relief over time.
What are the delivery times?+
In-stock pieces ship within 48 to 72 business hours. Delivery is free within mainland France for any order over €200. For a personalised piece (engraving, marking), allow 7 to 10 additional days for production.
Can I return or exchange my purchase?+
Yes, you have 14 days from receipt to return a non-personalised piece in its original condition. Exchanges and refunds are processed within 7 business days of the parcel arriving back at our atelier.
Do you offer a personalisation service?+
Yes. We carry out hot-stamping (gold, silver or natural) on most of our pieces, up to 8 characters. Personalisation costs 20 € and adds 7 to 10 days to the production time.
