Nikiti

95 €

Burgundy is the colour of libraries one dreams of inhabiting, of sunsets over the Mediterranean. The Nikiti in burgundy carries this shade with the restraint of pieces that have no need to shout to exist. This burgundy leather passport pouch is cut from full-grain cowhide leather dyed through: at the corners, at the folds, the cut remains burgundy — no pale halo that would betray a surface treatment. The inlaid cloud motif is cut from a lighter contrasting leather — cream or camel — then set into its housing. Against the darker ground, the contrast is crisp and highly legible. Hand-stitched at the workshop, 6 rue Labie, Paris 17e. The press stud is sheathed in the same burgundy leather. Available with gold or silver foil personalisation. Dimensions: 25.5 × 11 cm, standard biometric passport.

THE GESTURE

The light-and-dark contrast, inlaid and immediate to the eye.

On the Nikiti in burgundy, the leather is chosen for the evenness of its burgundy tone — no lighter patches at the folds. The cloud motif, inlaid in a paler contrasting hide, reads against the deep ground like an intaglio engraving. The press stud is sheathed in the same burgundy leather: it does not break the chromatic unity.

The sheathing piece for the press stud is cut, folded, wax-glued and saddle-stitched before being mounted onto the body. This step adds forty minutes per pouch. It ensures the press stud remains silent and precise over time.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Everything about the Nikiti.

Where is the Nikiti made?+−

The Nikiti is entirely handmade in our Parisian atelier, at 6 rue Labie in the 17th arrondissement. From cutting to saddle stitching, every step takes place in Paris.

What leather do you use?+−

We work exclusively with full-grain vegetable-tanned cowhide, sourced from European tanneries committed to responsible practices. This leather develops a unique patina that grows more beautiful with time and use.

How do I care for my Suki Paris leather piece?+−

Day to day, wipe with a soft, dry cloth and store the piece in its cotton pouch, away from sunlight. To nourish the leather, apply a colourless nourishing milk (silicone-free) in a thin layer: once a month for daily use, once a season for occasional use. Avoid direct heat and household cleaners; if the piece gets caught in the rain, let it air-dry, then nourish it.

Can the inlaid motifs wear off?+−

No. Unlike a print or an appliqué, our motifs are inlaid into the thickness of the leather. They are an integral part of the piece and do not fade with use. Only the patina will deepen their relief over time.

What are the delivery times?+−

In-stock pieces ship within 48 to 72 business hours. Delivery is free within mainland France for any order over €200. For a personalised piece (engraving, marking), allow 7 to 10 additional days for production.

Can I return or exchange my purchase?+−

Yes, you have 14 days from receipt to return a non-personalised piece in its original condition. Exchanges and refunds are processed within 7 business days of the parcel arriving back at our atelier.

Do you offer a personalisation service?+−

Yes. We carry out hot-stamping (gold, silver or natural) on most of our pieces, up to 8 characters. Personalisation costs 20 € and adds 7 to 10 days to the production time.
